The local Flagstaff non-profit, Flagstaff Festival of Science, recently underwent a brand redesign. The new logo I created ties in several colors from the original design to satisfy hesitant board members. It was important to please those who have been familiar with the original brand for the last 30 years.

The Flagstaff Festival of Science mark was created as a re–brand for the organization. The new logo ties in purple from the original design to keep some recognizable branding between the redesign and their first logo. This purple reminds the organization’s supporters of the star-lit dark skies of Flagstaff.

Purple acts as the main brand color, with accents of green to tie in more of a natural science feeling. The client enjoyed this new shade of green as it highlights the trees and overall environment of Flagstaff .

The final deliverables were a stationary set (business card, letterhead, and envelope) and detailed guidelines on how to use their new brand identity.

Flagstaff Festival of Science officially launched their new branding at their September 2022: Pyramids to the Peaks festival. The organization’s website and new mobile application successfully follow the new brand guidelines.
